Ed Laird was an Advanced Radar Navigator stationed at an air base in Thailand. Laird flew missions over both North and South Vietnam to find and destroy enemy radar sites. Laird describes the experience of unleashing bombs and missiles from the sky and seeing their impact on ground targets.
