Lift.
- How do you treat a cow that won't stand up?
I know what the old farmer's wive's tale is.
- Try yelling at her.
- What exactly am I supposed to yell?
You shout coos.
- Coos.
- You tie sheepskin to its back.
- Oh, tie a sheepskin to its back.
Then shout coos.
Obviously - We call her Lazarus, now.
- How do you treat a dog you've suspected has eaten a wedding ring?
You give it something to make it throw up.
- Oh dear.
- Administer diluted soda crystals, which would make it throw up.
- For a dog with a fondness for vomiting he's been decidedly uncooperative.
I've tried linseed oil, salt water, soda crystals.
See if that doesn't force the issue.
The question is how do you treat a twisted uterus in a full-time foal birth when it's too late for a cesarean,?
You roll the horse over as we did in series two.
- You lie down at the back of the horse, Superman, next to its massive steel feet, grab onto the foal and you have other men roll the horse over 180 degrees as you hold onto the foal so it repositions it.
And if the horse flinches, when you're in the Superman position behind it, you bolt across a field and far away.
And that's filming done for the day.
No, I'm joking.
Roll the horse to turn the foal.
- How do you treat a dog with excessive flatulence?
- Exercise and less protein in the diet.
- His odor makes me long to return to France.
- Just letting him off the lead a bit and running around.
- Walking.
- Just walking.
- Lots of walking.
- Ah, there we are.
Diet or exercise.
- We'll accept diet or exercise.
- He's still - scratching though.
- How do you treat an itchy tortoise?
Siegfried introduces an extremely important idea here.
You must look to the person who brought the tortoise in.
So Carmody puts a tortoise in water.
- Huh?
- And the fleas jump off onto him.
- Oh, you rub a fish on his back or you rub it with a fish?
- Ooh, cuttlefish.
A chock full of calcium.
- Ah, no, that's what the guy says.
- Scraping him will do it.
Look to the owner.
Yeah, - You look to the owner because he might have fleas.
- Thank you veterinary.
