On 9/11, former North Carolina Poet Laureate Joseph Bathanti did not know the status of his beloved niece Katy who had worked next door to the World Trade Center for only a few months. Joseph describes the anxiety of that day and shares a poem he wrote about the experience of worrying about Katy.
